Vanilla & Almond Butter Protein Balls

You guys have been asking me for a lot more of snack recipes, so here's another super quick, easy and energising snack. Perfect for a morning pick-me-up or a 3pm  pick-me-up. These Vanilla & Almond Butter Protein Balls are well worth a try!

Serves: Makes 10-16 balls, depending on your ball size

2 Scoops of Vanilla Protein
1 Cup of flaked Oats
1 Tablespoon of Cacao Powder
1/2 Cup of Smooth Almond Butter (or nut butter if you wish)
1/2 Cup of Honey
1 Cup of dessicated Coconut Flakes

1. Add all ingredients other than coconut flakes to a bowl and mix until the mixture is combined. Add more honey if too dry. 
2. Roll into little balls (however big or small you prefer)
3. Pour 1 Cup of coconut flakes onto a plate
4. Roll the balls in the coconut flakes until the balls are covered in flakes
5. Place the balls in a container and place them in the fridge for 20-30 minutes until cold

    Im diabetic too, I use ‘My Fitness Pal’ its an app and its fantastic for recipes like these, all you have to do is type in the ingredients and how much of each and the amount it serves and the app works it all out for you!!

  • Do you keep the balls refrigerated if you want to save them to eat over a week or can you just leave them out in air tight containers in room temperature?

  • can you give the nutrient value / for fats/ sugars and carbs please in your recipes… especially for diabetics
