Slow Cooked Soy Beef

Oh my goodness - The meat in this is SO soft, delicious and incredible for meal prep! 


Ingredients: 
1kg beef brisket steak
4 garlic cloves
1/2 cup soy sauce (low sodium)
1/2 cup beef stock
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 large brown onion, sliced thinly
1/4 cup of corn flour
1/2 tsp salt 
1/2 tsp pepper 
1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated 

To serve:
Spring onion 
Rice
Sesame seeds 

Directions:

  1. Slice beef brisket into long thin strips and coat strips in corn flour.
  2. In a slow cooker, add garlic, ginger, onion, chilli, salt, pepper and beef.
  3. Then add soy sauce, hoisin, and beef stock to the cooker and stir well.. Leave to cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low.
  4. Serve with rice and top with sesame seeds and spring onion.

  • I also have just put mine in the slow cooker but couldn’t see the chili in the ingredient list. Also the garlic I’m assuming is whole cloves as it doesn’t state crushed etc?

  • Looks delicious! Question: it says to add chili in step 2, but I don’t see it in the ingredients list at all. What kind of chili exactly?
