Turmeric & Honey Remedy

We're taking convenience to a whole new level. Here is one of my favourite remedies to avoid getting sick, made so you can store in a cool dry place. This mixture is perfect to add to teas, toast or anything warm delicious. I love having a teaspoon of this mixture with a squeeze of lemon in hot water as a tea. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

Serves: 20 

Ingredients:

200g honey
1 tbsp turmeric powder
1 tsp cinnamon, ground

Directions:

  1. Add honey, turmeric and cinnamon to a jar and stir until mixed well to ensure there is no clumps of powder.
  2. Store in a cool dry place (as you would honey).

  • You only need to add black pepper to Curcumin to activate (the antioxidant found in turmeric usually found in supplement form). Turmeric in its whole form has everything it needs! :)

  • Make sure to add cracked black pepper to activate the tumeric. I then have this in a glass of hot coconut milk. Delicious!

  • Yes! I am so keen to try this! Keep the cupboard stored, homemade foods coming! I’d love to know how to make a few different types of curry from scratch and be able to store them in the cupboard/fridge and just have them ready to go weeks in advance! You’re awesome Leah!
