Homemade Hummus

Creamy, garlicky and SO much better than store-bought, this homemade hummus comes together in 10 minutes. Make a big batch and enjoy it with veggies or crackers all week.

Homemade Hummus

ingredients

  • 2 x 400g cans of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed *
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • Sprinkle of salt and pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 1 Tsp cayenne pepper
  • Small handful of coriander
  • EVOO to finish

method

  1. Place all the ingredients except the olive oil, cayenne pepper and EVOO into a food processor and begin to blend. Stop every now and again to wipe down edges to make sure everything is being blended nicely
  2. Pour olive oil slowly into the blender, until mixture is to your desired consistency
  3. Finish with a dusting of cayenne pepper and a final drizzle of EVOO for an extra layer of taste and amazing presentation.
  4. Pair with carrots, cucumber or pita bread

* Make this recipe FODMAP friendly by leaving out the garlic.
